As a previous delegate you are currently eligible to receive an unprecedented 20% discount on the standard delegate and attend the UK’s premier event for those involved with the UK’s science and innovation sector for just £199 + Vat (standard delegate rate £249 + Vat).

Jonathon Porritt, Founder Director, Forum for the Future, is confirmed to deliver the presentation Towards a Sustainable and Green Economy. This presentation will seek answers to critical questions including: What should we make of the Copenhagen accord? Does the Government’s low carbon strategy go far enough in the fight against climate change? The Carbon Reduction Commitment will also be under discussion along with new ideas on how to create a sustainable and green economy for both developed and developing nations.

Professor Gordon Conway, Former Chief Scientific Adviser to DFID and Professor for International Development, Imperial College, is also confirmed to discuss issues including: building scientific collaboration to deliver practical solutions to third world countries, the impact of climate change and other future threats and how science can contribute to building sustainability and resilience, how to get advances in research and development to where they are most needed and DFID’s plans to invest up to £1 billion on development research up to 2013.

Science & Innovation 2010 will examine current and future policy in close detail. Delegates will explore how we can ensure economic growth through the commercialisation of our research and science base and continue in the drive towards a low carbon economy.
