Knowledge Transfer Partnerships are an initiative to promote collaboration between the science base and Small-to-Medium Enterprises (SME's)and area avialable to both IAH and Moredun scientists
KTP projects are:
Partnerships between an academic and a company whereby a postgrad/postdoc works in a company on a research project which is important to the competitive success and development of that company
Typically of 2-3 years
Funded as grants of £100 - 150k (about two thirds of total the balance from the partner
Are developed and supervised by both academic and company partners
Provide a grant to your Institute to supervise the project plus an overhead cost against the KTP associates salary
Applications taken throughout the year.
