This page sets out in outline, how Genecom can assist scientists, individuals wishing to start-up in business, SME's and the animal health industry access the expertise of Moredun, the Institute for Animal Health, the Scottish Crop Research Institute and utilise facilities on the Pentlands Science Park and Roslin BioCentre.

    Genecom can assist SME's and the animal health industry work more closely with our partners through:

  • access to innovation and intellectual property

  • access to co-funding for collaborative r&d

  • access to expertise either directly or through Interface a unique central point of access for industry to Scotland’s research base. Interface provides a unique service designed to address the growing demand from businesses wanting to engage with academia for knowledge and expertise

  • the Genecom Orphan's Project through which grants and investments are available for SME's and individuals wishing to work with Moredun, IAH and Roslin or hoping to use the science park facilities of the Scottish partners. See also (Under Development)

  • Through our Enterprise and Entrepreneurship training that provides an introduction to business skills aimed at scientists or entrepreneurs wishing to know more about business.
